Hi, Michael. I am just wondering in this game where I can check which products are overproduced or underproduced in democratic palnning model?

Michael

Hey, it's great to hear from you! I hope you've been doing good!

When you select a workplace you can click View Products, then go to the distribution tab to see how many have been supplied and sold.

Hope that helps!

Thank you! Then in one round of demoncratic planning, what do green arrow and red arrow mean? In your tutorial on democratic planning, the first round makes some products oversupplied and others undersupplied. For example, blackberry pie has a green arrow, its planned production is 9 while planned consumption is 3, so it is oversupplied (in the planning sense). The beef pizza is also oversupplied (planned production is 5 while planned consumption is 3), but it has a red arrow by contrast. Why does this happen?

Michael

The green arrow means when the computer analyzed the last round it was undersupplied, the red arrow means it was oversupplied. However, if the plans are updated the arrows will stay until you analyze a new round. By default, all of the plans automatically update after each round.

Also, the computer usually recommends you produce a little extra. The default surplus target is 2 (meaning it will recommend you make 2 more than whatever is planned for consumption). You can edit these values in the government building when you view the laws.
